Whiteoak Cottage is on the edge of Trawden village. It's a new build, so it's got three bathrooms and good headroom upstairs. The beams are real oak though, it's not just for show.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. Each room has its own shower room, which is useful. One bedroom has a super king bed that can be split into two singles if you prefer.
The main living space is all open plan. Kitchen, dining, lounge. It's a big room so you're not on top of each other. There's a desk on the upstairs landing if you need to work.
Outside, there's a patio at the front and the back with some furniture. The views are all countryside, fields and hills.
In the village, there's a community shop and a library. The Trawden Arms pub does food. It's a proper local. There are a few cafes and farm shops a short drive away.
For walking, you can go straight out from the door into the fields. Boulsworth Hill is the big walk here, good for views. Wycoller Country Park is about a ten minute drive, nice for a gentler stroll. Pendle Hill is about twenty minutes by car if you want that history.
You're on the edge of the Forest of Bowland. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is roughly half an hour north. More structured days out could be at Skipton, which has the castle and canal, or the city of Lancaster.
Facilities: it's got everything on the list. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, parking. All bedding and towels are included. No pets.
