Brun Cottage is in Worsthorne. It's a terraced stone cottage, but private. You get three bedrooms and a bathroom spread over two floors. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.
The living space is open plan, kitchen and sitting area together. Patio doors open out to a small enclosed courtyard with a table and chairs. Useful for a morning coffee or letting the dog out.
We allow one well-behaved dog. There's parking for one car on the street outside.
Worsthorne itself is a quiet village. There's a local pub about a ten minute walk away. Good for a pint, they do food. For anything bigger, Burnley is a short drive.
The main thing here is the walking. You're right on the edge of the Pennines. The Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is about a 20 minute drive. Good for hikes and views. A bit closer, you've got the Towneley Hall estate for easier woodland walks.
If you want a day out, Clitheroe with its castle is about half an hour's drive. The Ribble Valley is nice. For industrial history, the Helmshore Mills textile museum is worth a visit, also around 30 minutes away.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine, bedding and towels are included. The stairs are typical for an old cottage, so they're a bit steep and turn a corner. Just something to be aware of.
