The Cottage at Peers Clough Farm is up a single-track farm lane near Water, Lancashire. It's a working sheep farm. You'll share the driveway with me and my dog.
It sleeps six, but in two bedrooms. One room has a kingsize bed and a single. The other room has a double and a single. It's a 4 Star property, so it's comfortable and well-equipped, not luxurious. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it.
You get views across the Rossendale Valley from the front. The garden and patio area are out the back. That's shared with us, but we generally leave you to it.
There's parking right outside. The kitchen has a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. WiFi works fine. We take up to two dogs.
The location is quiet. You're on the edge of the moor. For a walk from the door, you can go up onto the Rossendale Way footpaths. If you want to ride, we offer BHS-approved horse trekking from the farm. You need to book that in advance.
For a day out, you're about half an hour from Hebden Bridge or the Trough of Bowland. Clitheroe and Skipton are also within easy reach. The East Lancashire Railway at Heywood is about 20 minutes by car. For wider planning, the Visit Lancashire site is useful.
