The Stag's Wallow
The Stag's Wallow is a lodge for two. It's at Muggintonlane End, near Ashbourne in Derbyshire. You're looking out over fields. It feels quiet.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's new and clean, so that's what that means. One bedroom, one shower room. The kitchen's open to the living area. There are big doors so you can see the view from inside. It's got a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking.
Outside, there's a deck with a table and chairs, a lawn, and a wood-fired hot tub. You can bring one dog.
Sometimes the red deer come right up to the fence at the bottom of the garden. You see them or you don't.
The pub is a five minute walk down the lane. They do food and have a garden. They've also got an electric car charger.
You're on the edge of the Peak District. For walking, the Tissington Trail starts nearby. The stepping stones at Dovedale are about a ten minute drive. Carsington Water is close too, for walks or water sports. If you want a big day out, Alton Towers is 35 minutes by car.
