The Lodge

The Lodge is just outside Keighley. It's an old coach house from the 1850s. We did it up in 2022.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's one parking space on the gravel at the front. The garden at the back is enclosed. You can sit out there.

Inside, it's stone and beams. The stairs are the original ones, so they're a bit steep and winding. The bathroom has a roll-top bath and a separate shower cubicle. The living room has a wood burner. We leave some logs for you to start with.

You're on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, so it's good for walking. Haworth is about four miles away. That's where the Brontë Parsonage is. The Brontë Society website has details. You can get the steam train from Keighley Station through the valley. The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway site has the timetable.

Skipton is 13 miles. They've got the castle and a market. Ilkley Moor is about a 20 minute drive. Bolton Abbey is roughly half an hour away. The Yorkshire Dales National Park site has maps and ideas for days out.

The facilities are what you'd expect: wifi, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a local pub within walking distance. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
