Half Pint Cottage is in Haworth. It's a terraced cottage on Valley Road. You can park on the street outside. It's a comfortable base, not a show home.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One is a standard double on the first floor. The other is a large converted loft room with twin beds. That room has low ceilings in places, so watch your head. There's one bathroom with a shower.
The living room has a wood burner. There's a small basket of logs when you arrive. You can buy more from the garage up the road. The kitchen is open plan with the living area. It has what you need.
You're a ten minute walk up the hill to the main street. It's cobbled and steep. The cottage is near the railway station, so you do hear the steam trains sometimes. It's part of the place.
Haworth is known for the Brontës. The Parsonage Museum is on the main street. The moors start at the top of the village. You can walk to Top Withens from there. The scenery is good. It can get bleak and windy up there, so take a coat.
The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway runs through the valley. It's a preserved line. You can get on at Haworth station and go to Oxenhope or Keighley. It was used in the film of The Railway Children.
For a wider day out, Skipton is about a twenty minute drive. They've got the castle and the canal. The Yorkshire Dales are within half an hour.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine, bedding and towels provided. One well-behaved dog is allowed. There's a small courtyard with a table and chairs.
