19 Sykes Head Cottage

19 Sykes Head Cottage is on the edge of Oakworth. It's one of three cottages in a row, but you get your own garden and parking space. The view from the front is all fields and hills. It's quiet.

It's a small place for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so everything is in good order. The kitchen is open plan with the living area. There's a TV, wifi, and a dishwasher. And a washing machine. There's an electric vehicle charger too.

You can walk into Oakworth village in a few minutes. There's a shop and a couple of pubs. The pubs do food. For a bigger shop, Keighley is about three miles away.

You're right on the edge of the moors here. The walking is good straight from the door. Haworth, where the Bronte Parsonage is, is less than two miles away. It gets busy, but it's an easy walk across the fields. The Worth Valley Steam Railway runs through there too.

Further out, you've got Skipton about a 20 minute drive. That's a proper market town. The Dales are about half an hour north if you want to go that way. Ilkley Moor is about 20 minutes east.

Useful links: Bronte Parsonage Museum, Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, and for general walking info, the Yorkshire Dales National Park site covers this area too.
