Higher Kirkstall Wood Farm is in Keighley, on the edge of the town. It's a stone farmhouse we renovated ourselves. It looks out over fields towards the moors. There's woodland at the back.
It sleeps seven people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are stone and a bit worn in the middle, which is normal for an old house. You'll see the fireplace straight away in the main room. It's big. There's a wood burner in it.
The kitchen has a Rangemaster cooker. All the bedding and towels are provided. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher,Wi-Fi, TV, and parking right outside.
You can walk straight out from the door. There are fields with sheep at the front and the woods behind. The moors are a short drive away. Haworth village is about three miles from here. It's where the Brontës lived. The main street is cobbled and has a few cafes and bookshops. The Brontë Parsonage Museum is there if you're interested.
For a different sort of trip, you can get the steam train from Keighley station. It goes up through Haworth and onto Oxenhope on the moors. Skipton is about ten miles away. It's a proper market town with a castle and the canal runs through it. Ilkley is within half an hour if you want to go to Betty's tea room.
