Within Snowdonia National Park, ’Y Bwthyn’ is an idyllic Welsh Coastal Cottage with an abundance of character and has an endearing charm about it. This comes as no surprise as the cottage is over 400 years old and was formerly the Granary Barn to the old Farmhouse, so it has many tales to tell and old character features, some of which are still in place. Being just a 5 minute stroll away from the secluded, beautiful sandy Llandanwg beach, this has to be the perfect retreat for any time of the year. This detached stone cottage has a cosy, warm and welcoming Lounge Diner having old beams and low ceiling, together with the large Inglenook Fireplace with wood burner, original quarry tiled floor, deep silled windows and leather sofas, whatever the weather; its charm and warmth embrace you. The good sized kitchen with its Welsh Dresser has everything you will need during your stay. The bedrooms are all a good size and have original Cast Iron Fireplaces in two of them and all have Latch & Brace doors. The garden is perfect for dining al fresco having the additional benefit of sea views, looking over Shell Island and with views to the Rhinog Mountains. From the back garden you can actually see the Station sign; this is a ’Train Stop’ where you need to put your hand out, in order to catch the 2 carriage train which can then take you on days out to local towns like Harlech or Barmouth.
