Welcome to Riverside Cottage – Located in the charming Welsh village of Llanrhystud, Ceredigion. Llanrhystud is a seaside village, nine miles south of Aberystwyth, and seven miles north of Aberaeron with a relatively wide range of facilities. Riverside Cottage has been lovingly updated and modernised, maintaining lots of its original features and is the ideal holiday cottage for families or friends looking for a coastal break. As you enter the cottage the first room you will find is the kitchen providing all the essentials for your stay. Through the kitchen is a spacious living area with a log burner, to relax and get cosy in the evenings. Upstairs you will find 2 lovely bedrooms. The first containing a double bed with a feature fireplace and loads of natural light with views of the village. The second bedroom comes with two single beds, both decorated to a good standard. Next door to the bedrooms is the main bathroom, with shower. There is a small outside area, to sit and enjoy the sounds of the river Wyre passing behind the cottage.
As a bonus, on the doorstep is the best café in the area, Caffi Wyre serving delicious pastries and homemade meals to enjoy. Within walking distance of Riverside Cottage is the beach, it has a shingle bank with a half mile long sandy beach at low tide. It is reached via a single-track road just opposite the petrol station in the village. You will find panoramic views of Cardigan Bay and on clear days the beach has views towards Snowdonia to the north and Bardsey Island to the north-west, alternatively if you are the adventure type Llanrhystud beach is great for windsurfing, kitesurfing and all that fun stuff. Prominent water sport beaches at Borth and Newquay are also just a short drive away. Ceredigion Coast Path passes through the village and along the beach where part of it continues along the top of a shingle bank, which has been levelled as much as possible to provide a reasonable walking surface. Penrhos Golf & Country club is very close by, as well as fantastic fishing, and horse riding. Spend your days visiting the nearby charming towns of Aberystwyth and Aberaeron, famous for their traditional Welsh pubs, boutique shops and sandy beaches, where dolphins and porpoises can be spotted on a clear day. Choose to stay at Riverside Cottage and enjoy all that this part of mid Wales has to offer.
