Weavers Cottage
Weavers Cottage is in Keltneyburn. It’s a few miles from Aberfeldy and close to Kenmore at the east end of Loch Tay. It’s detached, set back from the road next to a burn.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. The rating is 4 Star, which feels about right. It’s well kept. The stairs are standard for a cottage.
You’re a short drive from Aberfeldy for shops and cafés. Kenmore has a pub and a post office. The National Trust for Scotland’s Ben Lawers is nearby if you like hill walking. The Tay Forest Park is all around for easier walks.
Loch Tay is right there for water. You can hire kayaks or go rafting on the River Tay. There’s an outdoor hot tub spa at Kenmore if you want that. The Fortingall Yew is worth seeing, it’s an ancient tree.
For a day out, you can drive up Glen Lyon, which is beautiful. Schiehallion is a popular hill to climb. You’re within half an hour of Pitlochry for theatre and more shops, and about 40 minutes from Perth.
The cottage has a wood burning stove, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. There’s wifi and a TV. The garden is enclosed and gated, which is safe for kids and dogs. You can bring one dog. There’s parking.
