Weavers Cottage

Weavers Cottage is in Keltneyburn. It's a hamlet, so it's quiet. You're about five miles from Aberfeldy, which has shops, a chip shop, a cinema, and a swimming pool.

The cottage sleeps six. Three bedrooms upstairs, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. One of the bathrooms is particularly nice. The beds are good, with proper blinds so the light doesn't wake you up early in summer.

There's a wood burner in the living room. The sofas are deep and comfortable. We've got a smart TV with Netflix.

The kitchen has what you need. Dishwasher, washing machine. There's a gate across the courtyard to the garden, so it's enclosed. The Keltney Burn runs right past the garden. You can sit out there with the barbecue.

You can bring one dog. We have a stairgate and a cot if you need them.

Kenmore village is less than three miles away, at the end of Loch Tay. There's a pub, a shop, and you can hire kayaks or go to the outdoor Hotbox spa. The Fortingall Yew is close by. It's an incredibly old tree.

For walking, you've got low-level stuff right from the door. Glen Lyon is stunning for a drive or a longer walk. Schiehallion is the obvious mountain nearby. For biking, Drummond Hill has trails. The Perthshire website has more on the area.

Aberfeldy has a whisky distillery. There's fishing on Loch Tay or the river. Horse riding can be booked locally.

That's about it. It's a good spot for switching off.
