The Quaich is a three-bedroom house just outside Fearnan on Loch Tay. It's an end terrace. The main thing is the view, which is across the loch to the hills. It's a proper panorama.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom or shower room. Two are twins, and one of those twins can be zipped together to make a big double if you ask beforehand. The main bedroom is a king size. All the bedrooms are downstairs.
Upstairs is the living space. It's open plan, with the kitchen, dining and sitting area all together. There's a toilet up there too. The whole room is very light. Big doors open out onto a balcony overlooking the loch. You'll spend a lot of time out there.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's well kept and comfortable. The stairs are fine, just a normal flight.
You get a parking space right outside. There's also a locked shed for bikes if you bring them.
Directly across the road, you have access to a bit of grass and a shingle beach on the loch shore. The house comes with fishing rights for the loch if that's your thing.
The nearest shop and pub is about two miles away in Fortingall. Kenmore, at the other end of the loch, has more places to eat and a golf course.
If you want to get out, you're right in the middle of it. You can walk from the door into Tummel Forest. For bigger hills, Ben Lawers is close by. There are several munros within a short drive. You can hire boats or go out on a safari cruise on the loch itself.
Gleneagles is about an hour's drive for golf. Both Edinburgh and Glasgow are under two hours away if you fancy a city day.
Facilities wise: it has wifi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. All bedding and towels are included. There's no pet allowance, sorry.
