Kenmore Lodge

Kenmore Lodge is on Loch Tay, just outside the village of Kenmore. It's semi-detached, but you have your own garden. The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the loch to the mountains. It's quiet.

It sleeps six, three bedrooms. Two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well equipped and in good order. It's modern inside, clean and comfortable.

You come in on the first floor into the main living area. Big windows and patio doors to make the most of the view. There's a wood burner for colder evenings. The kitchen has what you need. Doors lead out to a terrace at the back and a balcony at the front overlooking the loch.

Downstairs on the ground floor are the bedrooms. The main one has doors out to the garden and its own shower room. There's a utility room with a washer-dryer, useful for wet coats and boots.

Kenmore village is about a 15 minute walk away, maybe less. There's a pub, a shop, and a hotel. The beach by the loch is about the same distance. It's a shingle beach, good for paddling. You can hire kayaks and such from the watersports centre there.

If you want to go further, Aberfeldy is about ten minutes' drive. It has a decent range of shops, places to eat, a small cinema, and the Dewar's whisky distillery. For walking, you're right on the edge of the Highlands. Ben Lawers is close by for a proper hill day. The National Trust for Scotland looks after Ben Lawers and has good path information.

For local history and days out, Historic Environment Scotland has details on castles like Taymouth. The Loch Tay website is also useful for what's on locally.

Facilities: it has parking, a dishwasher, washing machine, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed.
