Ardchoille Cottage is in Tomnacroich, near Fortingall. It's a semi-detached cottage, refurbished a few years ago. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
It sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms upstairs and two bathrooms, one downstairs. The stairs are normal. The garden is fully enclosed, which is good if you have kids or a dog, but we don't take pets. There's parking right there.
You come in through a sun porch, which is handy for boots and coats. The main room is open plan, kitchen and living area together. There's an open fire. The dining room has a table for everyone and looks out over the front garden towards the hills.
The garden is nice. There's furniture at the front and back so you can follow the sun. A path from the garden leads you down to the River Lyon.
Fortingall village is a few minutes' walk. There's a hotel that does food, a pub, and a restaurant. The church has an ancient yew tree, said to be the oldest in Europe.
Aberfeldy is about 15 minutes by car. That's where the bigger shops are, and places to eat. Dewar's whisky distillery is there if you fancy a tour. Loch Tay and Kenmore are close by for a trip out. The Scottish Crannog Centre on the loch shore is worth a visit to see how people lived a long time ago.
For outdoor stuff, you've got walking and cycling from the door. There's golf, fishing, horse riding, and white water rafting not far away. The area is good for that.
Facilities: everything you'd expect is included. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are provided. The cottage is wheelchair accessible at the entrance.
