Glengoulandie Lodge

Glengoulandie Lodge is near Keltneyburn, between Aberfeldy and Pitlochry. It's a detached lodge overlooking a loch and a deer park. The deck runs the full width of the place and is fully enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs or kids.

It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own en-suite. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's spacious and light, with underfloor heating, so it's warm even in winter.

You can see the water and the hills from the main room. The light changes a lot. There are ducks and geese on the loch most of the time, and you'll often see deer from the park. Squirrels and pine martens are around too.

For walks, you can do a loop around the deer park and loch from the door. If you want something bigger, Schiehallion is just down the road. There are seven Munros within ten miles, including Ben Lawers.

The nearest shop is about nine miles away in Aberfeldy. You can get grocery deliveries here if you book a slot. There's a pub and restaurant about eight miles away.

Aberfeldy is a 20-minute drive. It's got a supermarket, some good independent shops, places to eat, and a small cinema. The Dewar's distillery is there if you want a tour. Pitlochry is about the same distance in the other direction.

For a day out, Kenmore at the top of Loch Tay is nice. They've got water sports on the loch, or fishing and golf if you prefer. The National Trust for Scotland's Ben Lawers site is nearby for walking and nature.

The lodge has a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. It's wheelchair accessible, with a level entrance and walk-in showers. There's parking right outside. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
