The Old Post Office is right in Fearnan. It's on the quiet side of Loch Tay, the north shore. You can see the water from most of the windows.
It's a detached house. Big. Sleeps ten, has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms and two bathrooms are on the ground floor. The other two bedrooms, the main living room, and the kitchen are upstairs. The whole place is designed to look at the loch.
The main reason for the layout is the view. The living room is upstairs so you get the best panorama. There are french doors from there onto a big balcony. The master bedroom downstairs also has french doors out to its own enclosed patio.
There's a private hot tub on that patio. It's undercover, so you can use it in any weather.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The kitchen has everything, there's a utility room with a washer and dryer, and a dishwasher. WiFi and a smart TV are included. Bedding and towels are too.
The stairs inside are fine, they're normal house stairs. The parking is on-site for at least two cars, maybe more on the side.
Fearnan itself is very small and quiet. Kenmore is a few minutes' drive east along the loch. Aberfeldy is about ten minutes west. It's a proper town with shops, bakeries, a couple of supermarkets, and places to eat. The National Trust for Scotland's Falls of Dochart are just outside Aberfeldy.
If you want to get on the water, Loch Tay is right there. There's a shed for storing a couple of bikes or paddleboards if you bring them. Fishing is popular on the loch.
For walking, you're at the foot of Ben Lawers. The National Trust for Scotland's Ben Lawers visitor centre is about a fifteen-minute drive. The whole area is good for it.
You can bring up to two dogs. The garden and patio are enclosed, which helps.
Further out, you're about an hour from either Perth or Stirling if you need a bigger city or the railway. Pitlochry is about half an hour. Glenshee and it's skiing is a bit further, maybe 45 minutes in good weather.
