Chapelburn is in Lawers, right on the side of Loch Tay. It used to be a chapel, built in the 1900s. There's a stream and a pool by the side where they used to do baptisms. The views from the front are over the loch and the hills.
It sleeps ten people in five bedrooms, and each bedroom has its own bathroom. That's the main thing. It's got a 5 Star rating because it's been done up to a high standard, everything's new and comfortable.
The main room downstairs is big and open plan, with a kitchen, dining area, and living space all together. There's a big dining table, a TV, and a 7ft pool table. Off that, there's a second, cosier sitting room with a wood burning stove for the evenings. All the ground floor rooms have doors out onto the decking.
The decking runs the full length of the front. It's south facing so you get the sun. There's an outdoor table. There's also a hot tub out there, and a separate sauna and a cold plunge pool fed from the waterfall.
The stairs are fine, normal stairs. Upstairs are two large super king bedrooms. They have balcony windows you can open for the view.
Outside, the garden goes down to the lochside. You can bring up to three dogs. There's parking for cars.
The nearest pub and restaurant is about two miles away in Fearnan, and the nearest shop is about four miles in Kenmore. Kenmore's a nice village at the end of the loch with a beach, an inn, and you can hire boats or go fishing.
If you want to get out, this is a good spot for it. You're right in the middle of walking and cycling country. The Tay Forest Park starts nearby. Killin and the Falls of Dochart are at the other end of the loch, and Glen Lyon is a stunning drive. There are plenty of distilleries and castles within half an hour or so.
Inside, it's got what you'd expect: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, highchair and cot if you need them. Bedding and towels are included.
