The Bunker is a detached lodge in Otterburn, Northumberland. It backs onto woodland. You'll see red squirrels around, so if you like wildlife, keep an eye out.
It sleeps eight people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's well-finished and comfortable. It's open plan inside with big windows, so it's light. All the bedrooms have TVs.
Outside, there's a south-facing deck with a private hot tub. The skies here are very dark at night, so if it's clear, the stargazing is good.
The on-site restaurant is about 300 yards away and does meals. There's a village shop and a pub a mile away in Otterburn for basics.
You're right on the edge of the Northumberland National Park here. For a day out, Kielder Water and Forest Park is about a 30-minute drive. They've got walking, cycling, and the observatory there. The town of Bellingham is 9 miles away; it's got a couple of pubs, cafes, and a decent food shop.
The coast is about an hour's drive if you fancy it. You've got places like Alnwick Castle, Bamburgh, and miles of beaches over there.
Facilities: it's got parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a garden. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
