The Hideaway is a lodge on a holiday park just outside Otterburn in Northumberland. It's detached and quite new, built in 2018. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern inside, with decent WiFi and a Smart TV.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right by the lodge.
Outside, there's a raised deck with a hot tub. It looks out towards trees, so it feels private. No pets allowed.
The park has a restaurant with a small bar that does food at certain times. There's a village shop about a mile away for basics. For a bigger shop, Bellingham is about nine miles. It's got supermarkets, a butcher, and things like that.
You're right on the edge of the Northumberland National Park here. The dark skies are very good on a clear night. Kielder Water and Forest Park is close by for walking, cycling, or water sports. The Kielder Observatory is up there too if you're interested in stargazing.
Le Petit Chateau, the wedding venue, is less than a mile up the road. A lot of people book the lodge for wedding groups.
For days out, you can get to the coast in under an hour. Bamburgh Castle and its beach are worth the drive. Hadrian's Wall is also within an hour's drive. Useful links if you're planning: Northumberland National Park and Kielder Water & Forest Park.
