Oak Tree Barn
Oak Tree Barn is in Otterburn. It's a stone barn that's been converted, one of a little terrace of them. Sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom. Got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. Everything's on one floor which is handy.
Inside it's open plan, so the kitchen, living and dining area are all together. It's bright. There's a wood burner for the evenings. You get a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right next to the barn.
Out the back there's a small private patio area with a table. Across the lane there's a big grassy area, good for dogs or just sitting out.
The village has a shop about five minutes walk away. They do tea and coffee as well. The pub, The William de Percy, is even closer, maybe 200 yards. They do food and they're dog friendly.
For walks, you can start from the door. The village is right by the Northumberland National Park and the Cheviot Hills. Otterburn Mill is just down the road if you want a look around or some afternoon tea.
If you want to drive out, Kielder Water and Forest Park is about 20 minutes. It's massive. Hadrian's Wall is a short drive too, you can get to some of the forts and museums easily.
