Oak Tree Barn is a converted barn in Otterburn. It's terraced, so you've got neighbours on one side. Sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It's clean and everything works.
The main living area is open plan. There's a wood burner for when it gets chilly. Outside, there's a patio garden across a small public footpath from the cottage itself. You can sit out there.
The village shop and tea room is about 400 yards away. The pub, The William de Percy, is 200 yards. They're dog friendly and the food is good.
You can walk or cycle straight from the door. The area is good for fishing, horse riding, and golf is nearby. Otterburn Mill is here in the village too.
For days out, you're on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. Hadrian's Wall is a few miles away. Kielder Water is about a 20 minute drive. The Northumberland coast with all its castles and beaches is within easy reach, maybe 45 minutes. Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about 26 miles.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
