Maple Lodge
Maple Lodge is a lodge near Otterburn. It was built in 2019. It's on the corner of the park, so it's quiet, with trees on two sides. It sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern and in good order. There's a hot tub that fits six people. The park is inside the Northumberland National Park, so the night sky is very dark. You can see the stars well from the hot tub.
The lodge is open plan downstairs. Facilities are all there: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You can bring one dog.
There's a shop and a pub about a mile away in the village. The pub does food. There's also a restaurant on the park itself if you don't want to go out.
For things to do, you're right in the National Park for walking. Kielder Water and the observatory are about a 30 minute drive for water sports or stargazing. Hadrian's Wall is within easy reach, maybe 40 minutes by car. The Northumberland coast with its beaches and castles is under an hour away. Bellingham is nine miles off and has shops and butchers.
