The Two Bedroom Balcony View is an apartment in Portsmouth, on the top floors of the tall building at Gunwharf Quays that people call the Lipstick building. It's just one flat amongst several in the block, all much the same. You're high up, so the main thing is the balcony and the view from it. You look out over the harbour and the Solent.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and modern. Everything is on one level, which makes it straightforward.

The location is the point of it. You're right in the middle of Gunwharf Quays. Shops, restaurants, cafes, a cinema, it's all about 180 yards from your front door. The view is the other part of it. It's a proper city harbour view, not a quiet country one. If you want to watch ships coming and going with a coffee, it's good for that.

For a beach, you'd drive to Southsea, which is a couple of miles. The train station at Portsmouth Harbour is a short walk away. Trains to London take about an hour and a half.
