No.1 The One Bedroom
No.1 The One Bedroom is in Portsmouth, on Gunwharf Quays. It's an apartment block, sixteen of them in the building. You know, the tall red one they call the Lipstick building. The views from up there are good, over the harbour and the coast.
It's a one bedroom flat, sleeps two people. Four Star rated. Everything's on one level, open plan. It's got underfloor heating, which is nice in winter. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher, and bedding and towels are included.
You've got parking on site, which is useful. There's a bike store if you bring cycles. They've also got a cot if you need one.
The location is the main thing. You're right on the waterfront. The Gunwharf shopping centre is literally downstairs, with all its shops and restaurants. The pub is about 180 yards away. The beach at Southsea is a couple of miles.
The Historic Dockyard is very close. You can see HMS Victory and the Mary Rose there. The Spinnaker Tower is right there too, for the views. The train station is a short walk, and you can be in London in about an hour and a half.
If you're driving out, the South Downs are within half an hour. The National Trust has some good walks up there.
No pets allowed, I'm afraid.
