Nether Cottage

Nether Cottage is in Saline, Fife. It's a semi-detached place, part of the old coach house and stables for the main house. You share the grounds but you get your own garden bit. It's quiet and looks out over fields.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's been done up well inside. It's open plan downstairs.

The stairs are a bit steep, like in a lot of older places. There's a washing machine, parking right outside, and bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Sorry, no pets.

There's a shop about half a mile away. The pub is a mile away and does food. The coast is about five miles if you fancy a beach. The nearest proper golf is the nine-hole course in the village. If you're keen, places like Dunfermline or Gleneagles are a drive away. Knockhill Racing Circuit is just over six miles.

For walking, Saline Hill and the Ochils are right there. Loch Leven is good for fishing and has a nature reserve. Stirling Castle and the Falkirk Wheel with the Kelpies are under an hour's drive. Edinburgh and Perth are easy to get to on the M90.

If you've seen 'Outlander', a few filming spots are close. Culross, which they used as Cranesmuir, is about five miles. Doune Castle, which was Castle Leoch, is about twenty minutes.
