Fernwoodlea is a detached cottage on our farm in High Valleyfield, Fife. It's part of the old Inzievar House estate. You're on a working farm with livestock, so you'll see sheep and cattle sometimes. The cottage is surrounded by parkland, which is good for a quiet walk.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. The stairs are fine, normal for a cottage.
The living room has a wood burning stove. There's a dishwasher and washing machine. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you bring a dog. We allow one well-behaved pet.
You're about a mile from Culross. It's an old historic village by the water, worth a look. The local shop is a mile and a half away. There's a pub and restaurant two miles from the cottage.
If you're here to relax, you can use the tennis court on the estate. You can also ask us for a look around the restored walled garden.
Edinburgh is about 24 miles away, so you can get in for a day out without too much driving. Stirling is 18 miles, Perth is 33. The coast is accessible. There are a lot of good walks and cycle paths nearby.
