Forget Me Not Cottage is in Culross, Fife. It's a new build, detached, so no shared walls. It gets labelled as luxury, which means it's well finished and has good quality stuff. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The layout is open plan downstairs. Out the back, there's a patio area with a firepit. You look out over the old roofs of the village, which is nice.
It's right in the middle of the village. There's a pub directly opposite. You can walk to the water's edge on the Firth of Forth in a few minutes. The place is all cobbled streets and old houses. It's used a lot for filming, including Outlander. Culross Abbey and the Palace are just there.
For days out, you're well placed. Edinburgh, Stirling, and Glasgow are all within about 40 minutes' drive. St Andrews is just over an hour. Dunfermline is very close. The National Trust for Scotland page for Culross has the details on the palace and abbey.
Facilities: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, parking for one car on the drive, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
