The Wee Cottage is in Dunfermline. It's a one-bedroom ground-floor cottage, sleeps two. We've got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The main thing is the location. You're in a quiet street but a five-minute walk gets you to the bus station, a supermarket, and into the city centre. Dunfermline's a proper city now, a royal one. There's the abbey, where Robert the Bruce is buried, and all the shops and places to eat you'd need.
The cottage itself is bright, with high ceilings. The living room looks out to a small, private garden. There's a smart TV with Netflix. The kitchen is compact but has a dishwasher and washing machine. It does the job.
For getting out, the train station is about ten minutes on foot. Edinburgh is under half an hour by train, which is easier than driving in. Glasgow is less than an hour by car.
If you've got a car, the Fife coast is right there. Limekilns is a short drive and that's where you can pick up the Fife Coastal Path. The path goes all the way to St Andrews, past a lot of those little fishing villages. St Andrews itself, for the golf or just the town, is about a 45-minute drive.
Facilities: all your bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. We take one well-behaved dog. The garden is yours. WiFi is included.
