Gean Cottage Rumbling Bridge

Gean Cottage is a bungalow on our farm, out near Rumbling Bridge. It's detached, so no one next door. The garden is enclosed, which is good for dogs, but we don't take pets here sorry.

It sleeps four, two bedrooms. One bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is about right. It's clean and comfortable. Because it's a bungalow, there are no stairs inside, which some people like.

You're on a working beef farm. It's quiet. You'll see the cows. The road down to the cottage is a farm track, it's fine for normal cars, just take it slow.

The best thing is the walking right from the door. You can walk down to the Rumbling Bridge gorge on the River Devon, or towards Muckhart. It's good country.

The local shop and pub are about two miles away in Yetts of Muckhart. They're fine. For more choice, Kinross is ten minutes drive. They've got supermarkets and places to eat. Loch Leven is there too, for walking or cycling round.

If you're here for golf, Gleneagles is about half an hour. St Andrews is maybe forty minutes, depending on traffic.

Knockhill racing circuit is just down the road, about five minutes. You can hear it on race days, but it's not all the time. It's just a background hum.

A lot of people visit the Outlander filming spots. Falkland and Culross are medieval villages, about twenty and thirty minutes away respectively. For castles, you've got Stirling Castle and Doune Castle within half an hour. Dollar Castle is closer. Blair Drummond Safari Park is about twenty-five minutes away, good if you have kids.

In the cottage there's a washing machine, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included.
