Tullibole Castle Longhouse is a cottage attached to a castle near the village of Drum in Perthshire. It's for two people. It has a 4 Star rating.
The cottage used to be a longhouse, so it's all on one level. There's a low beamed ceiling and a wood burning stove in the main room. The bedroom has a vaulted ceiling and an en suite shower room with a walk-in shower.
The best bit is the conservatory, which has glass on two sides. You sit in there and look out at the fields and the Ochil Hills. The garden is fully enclosed. There are peacocks around the grounds. The owners sometimes feed them near the cottage, so you'll probably see them.
You're welcome to walk around the castle grounds. There's woodland, a moat, and an old dovecote. There's also a small maze planted as a memorial. The castle itself is 17th century. You can arrange a tour with the owner, and I think you can even have dinner there if you book ahead.
It's quiet. The nearest village with a shop and a pub is about a 25 minute walk. For a bigger shop, Kinross is a ten minute drive.
Gleneagles is 20 minutes away for golf. Stirling Castle is about 40 minutes. Edinburgh is under an hour if you want a city day. St Andrews is about an hour's drive.
It's got parking right outside. There's a washing machine, a TV, and wifi. The bedding and towels are included.
