Inn Cottage Pool of Muckhart

This is Inn Cottage, in Pool of Muckhart. It's a small stone cottage, part of a pair with the one next door, but you don't share any indoor space. The garden is yours. It's a quiet wee village.

The cottage sleeps six, though it's only two bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a double bed and two singles, family-room style. One bathroom. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are narrow, as you'd expect.

It's got a wood-burning stove, which is nice in the evenings. There's a washing machine. Bedding is included. Parking is right outside.

The pub is about 150 yards down the road. They brew their own beer there and do food. The shop is a bit closer, just past the pub.

You're right between a few things here. Dollar is three miles away for more shops and places to eat. Gleneagles is 11 miles north. There's a golf course in the village, and of course more at Gleneagles if that's your thing.

For a good walk, the Rumbling Bridge gorge is only two miles away. It's a dramatic spot. Stirling is about 17 miles, so you can visit the castle or the Wallace Monument fairly easily. If you want to go further, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs are within 30 minutes' drive.
