White Wisp is in Powmill, between Dunfermline and Dollar. It’s a converted steading, which just means it used to be a farm building.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. There's a 4 Star rating because it’s been done up well. The main room is open plan, with a kitchen at one end.
You get a sun deck out the back. It’s sheltered and the view is over the fields towards the Ochil Hills. The deck gets the sun in the evening. The garden is shared with the main house, but you have your own private bit.
It's quiet here. You’re in the owner's grounds, so there's no through traffic. One dog is welcome.
The nearest shop is about a mile away in Crook of Devon. For a pub or restaurant, you’re looking at about seven miles. There are a few good ones around Glendevon.
Walking is good straight from the door. For a proper day out, Loch Leven is close by. You can walk round it or visit the RSPB Vane Farm nature reserve. The boat trip to the island castle is interesting if you like history.
Stirling is about half an hour’s drive. Edinburgh and Perth are also about half an hour. Glasgow is a bit further, maybe 50 minutes.
For facilities, it’s got what you’d expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. You can park right outside.
