Devin Lodge Dollar

Devin Lodge is just outside Dollar, up in Clackmannanshire. It's a detached lodge right by the River Devon. You get a big decked area out the front that looks onto the river. It's enclosed, which is good for dogs or if you've got kids.

Inside, it sleeps four. Two bedrooms. One has a king-size bed and its own shower room, the other is a twin. The main bathroom has a bath and a shower. Everything's on one level, so no stairs to worry about. The living area is open plan and quite big. The kitchen's well set up with a dishwasher and washing machine.

You've got fishing rights on the river. It's mainly trout. In the autumn, usually around October, you can see salmon going up the weir just upstream. It's about a ten minute walk into Dollar village. There's a couple of pubs, a restaurant, and some shops there.

If you're here for golf, there are a few courses within about fifteen minutes. Gleneagles is about half an hour's drive away. For walking, the Ochil Hills are right there. You can start from the door. It's good cycling country too.

In terms of getting further out, Stirling is about twenty-five minutes by car. You've got the castle and the Wallace Monument there. Edinburgh is around an hour's drive, depending on traffic.

We take one well-behaved dog. There's parking right next to the lodge. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
