Tormaukin House

Tormaukin House is an old drover's inn from the 1720s, up in Glendevon. It sleeps up to 14 in the main house, comfortably. It's detached, with its own patio and garden. There's a river and meadow walks that start just outside.

The house has seven bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms. There's also a separate annexe next door with three more rooms, which is where you can bring dogs. They have their own entrances. The place has a 4 Star rating. It's been done up to a good standard.

The main thing here is the space. You've got the old pub bar with working pumps if you want to arrange a keg. There's a dining room with a big fireplace, a conservatory, a living room with a wood burner they call the Whisky Room, and another room with a pool table and darts. The kitchen is commercial, so it's built for cooking for a crowd. You can arrange for a private chef if you want, which people often do for big celebrations.

The location is good for getting to a lot of places. Gleneagles is about a 15-minute drive for the golf. Perth and Stirling are maybe half an hour. Edinburgh and Glasgow are both around an hour's drive, depending on traffic.

For walking, you're right in the Ochil Hills. The glen itself is quiet and good for an easy stroll. For bigger days, you could drive to the Trossachs or up towards Highland Perthshire.

Facilities wise: there's parking, WiFi, a cot and highchair if needed, and bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to three dogs, but they stay in the annexe bedrooms. The property is listed as wheelchair accessible, but given it's an old building, it's best to check specifics with us if that's a requirement.
