Woodend Barn
Woodend Barn is a converted barn on our small farm near Auchterarder. It’s detached, so you're on your own. The views from here are across fields for miles.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s comfortable and well-equipped. It’s all on one level, which is good if stairs are a problem.
The barn is right next to our farmhouse. We’ve got Highland cattle and sheep in the fields. Sometimes you hear the trains go by on the old railway line, not too often. There’s a private hot tub in the enclosed garden, and a BBQ.
Auchterarder is about a mile and a half away. It’s got a long high street with shops, pubs and places to eat. Gleneagles hotel and golf courses are a few minutes’ drive.
Crieff and Perth are about twenty minutes by car. Stirling, with the castle, is about forty minutes. You can be in Edinburgh or Glasgow in just over an hour if you want a city day.
The area is good for walking and cycling. There are distilleries and castles like Drummond Castle Gardens nearby. If you like fishing, there are local rivers.
Facilities wise: it’s got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi and TV. Parking is right outside. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
