Drummond Lodge is a small cabin in the woods near Muthill. It's just for two, no children or pets.
The cabin is insulated, so it's warm, and has one bedroom and a shower room. Everything is done to a high standard. The owners used local craftspeople for a lot of it. You'll see deer and pheasants around if you're quiet. The hot tub is wood-fired and will be ready for you when you arrive.
The castle on the estate is lit up at night, which looks good from the cabin deck. All the lighting is low energy. The water comes from a local spring.
There's a small shop on the site if you forget anything. You have your own BBQ and patio area. The village of Muthill is close by and has a pub. Crieff is about four miles away. It's an old town with shops, places to eat, and galleries.
For days out, Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument are about half an hour's drive. Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park is also within easy reach for walking. Useful links: Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park and Historic Environment Scotland.
