Rowanlea Muthill

This is Rowanlea. It's in Muthill, in Perthshire. A proper village, not isolated. You've got neighbours.

The cottage sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up nicely. There's a wood burner in the living room and another one in the garden room. That room has big windows on three sides, so it's bright. Looks out over the garden.

The garden is a good size, fenced. It's got a patio with furniture and a BBQ. You can let dogs out there.

Speaking of which, you can bring up to two dogs. We provide a stairgate for the bottom of the stairs. The stairs themselves are cottage stairs. They're a bit steep and turn halfway up. Fine for most, but watch your step.

In the village, there's a shop about five minutes' walk. A pub and a restaurant are about the same distance. The old church is interesting, dates back centuries. There's a kids' play park too.

Crieff is three miles away. That's where you'll find a bigger supermarket, some shops, and the Glenturret Whisky Distillery. If you're here in September, the Crieff Highland Games are on.

For walks, you can follow the River Earn. For bigger hills, Ben Chonzie is about a 20-minute drive. Loch Earn is close for water sports. A lot of people come for the Outlander connections. Drummond Castle Gardens is two miles away. Doune Castle is about half an hour's drive.

You can get to Stirling or Perth in under 45 minutes. Edinburgh and Glasgow are about an hour and a quarter, depending on traffic.

In terms of what's here: all bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi, a TV, washing machine, dishwasher. We provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. The parking is on the drive.
