Horton Lodge
It's Horton Lodge, just outside Muthill. It's a proper glamping cabin for two, adults only. You're in the trees, quiet and private.
The cabin sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating. It's small but everything's done to a high standard. The owners used local makers for a lot of it. It's eco-friendly: low energy lights, spring water, that sort of thing.
You get a wood-fired hot tub. They'll have it lit and ready for you when you arrive. There's a patio with a BBQ too.
Muthill village is a short walk away. There's a local pub and a shop on the estate if you've forgotten anything. Crieff is about four miles. That's where you'll find most of the shops, places to eat, and galleries.
The cabin looks out towards a castle on the estate. At night they light it up, so the view from the hot tub is quite something.
You're in the middle of woodland. Sit quietly and you'll see deer and pheasants around. It's their space, so just be calm and they'll carry on.
For getting further out, you're well placed. Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park is about half an hour's drive. Stirling Castle is under 45 minutes. The Highlands proper start not long after that.
In terms of what's there: bedding and towels are included, there's WiFi, parking right by the cabin, and a shower. No pets allowed.
