Horton Lodge
This is Horton Lodge. It's a glamping cabin for two adults in Muthill, Perthshire. It's in the woods on an estate, so it's quiet and private.
The cabin is insulated and built to a high standard. It's designed to be a comfortable little space, not just a basic pod. There's a wood-burning hot tub on the deck, which we'll have lit and ready for your arrival.
You're in a proper forest, so you'll see wildlife. Deer and pheasants are around, but they're easily spooked so it's best to keep things calm. The view from the deck looks out over the estate towards the Highlands. At night, they light up the castle on the hill, which is quite a sight.
The village of Muthill is a short walk away and has a pub. Crieff is about four miles drive. It's a proper town with shops, cafes and places to eat. For a bigger day out, Stirling is less than half an hour's drive. You've got the castle and the Wallace Monument there.
The cabin has its own parking space, a shower, wifi and bedding included. There's a small onsite shop for essentials if you forget anything. It's an eco-place, so the power is low energy and they use spring water.
