Riverside Lodge Auchterarder

Riverside Lodge is just outside Auchterarder in Perthshire. It's one of a few lodges set in about 100 acres of woodland. The river Earn runs past the bottom of the garden.

It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms. One king with an ensuite shower room, one double, and one twin. There's a second shower room as well. It's a 4 Star, so it's well kept and comfortable. Everything's included, like bedding and towels.

The main room is open plan, kitchen, dining, and sitting area. Patio doors open onto a decked area with a table and chairs. There's a wood-burning stove for the colder months. You've got all the usual things, dishwasher, washing machine, wifi. Parking is right outside.

You can bring one dog. The woods are right there for walks. There's private fishing available on the river if you arrange it beforehand.

Auchterarder itself is about two miles away. The high street has a couple of supermarkets, some independent shops, and places to eat. The local pub is a short drive.

If you're playing golf, the Gleneagles courses are literally next door. The town course is a bit further on.

For a day out, you're about half an hour from Stirling and its castle. Perth is about 25 minutes. Doune Castle is famous for Monty Python and Outlander, that's around 25 minutes too. Crieff is closer, maybe 15 minutes. Edinburgh and Glasgow are both just over an hour's drive if you fancy the city.
