Salmon Leap Lodge
This is Salmon Leap Lodge. It’s in Dollar, at the foot of the Ochil Hills. It’s a detached lodge.
It sleeps three, in two bedrooms. There’s one shower room. Everything is on one level. You can bring up to two dogs.
It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s kept tidy and in good order.
Inside, it’s one main open room with a kitchen area, then the bedrooms lead off it. French doors open onto a deck and a small, enclosed lawn. You can sit out there. The view is over the River Devon towards the hills.
The lodge is on a small park with about five acres of grounds. You can walk by the river from the site.
Dollar village is about a five minute walk. There’s a shop, a pub, a few cafes and a museum. The walk up through Dollar Glen to Castle Campbell starts from there. It’s steep in parts but a good walk. If you drive, the Japanese Garden at Cowden is about ten minutes away.
Stirling is about twenty minutes by car. The castle is there, and the Wallace Monument. There’s a regular bus service if you don’t want to drive.
For golf, Gleneagles is roughly twenty minutes away. There are plenty of other courses around too.
What’s here: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside.
