The Orchard
The Orchard is a detached lodge near Forestmill, in Clackmannanshire. It's in a very quiet, rural spot. You look out over the orchard and fields.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. Everything's on one level, which is handy.
It's open plan inside, with French doors that open onto your own private deck. The kitchen has what you need. There's a washing machine, towels and bedding are provided, and you can park right outside. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs.
You can walk or cycle straight from the door. There's local fishing if you're into that. If you have a horse, you can arrange livery here and hack out from the property.
Dollar is about a mile and a half away. It's a small town with shops, a few places to eat, and a couple of pubs. Castle Campbell is there in Dollar Glen, which is a good walk. The National Trust for Scotland looks after it.
You can get to Stirling, Edinburgh, or Glasgow in about forty minutes by car. Perth is a bit closer. For a day out, Scone Palace near Perth or the Japanese Garden in Dollar are options. The coast is about twenty-one miles away.
