The Byre
The Byre is in Ruabon. It's a converted sandstone barn next to our house, but it's completely separate and private. It's detached. You get your own garden and patio with a barbecue.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. One is downstairs. The ground floor is level, so it's accessible if you need that. It's a five-star place, which means it's comfortable and finished to a good standard, not just fancy looking. It's got beams and some nice wooden features.
The pub is a five minute walk up the lane. The nearest shop is about a mile away in Ruabon village.
Llangollen is ten minutes by car. That's where the Eisteddfod music festival is. They've got the steam railway and the horse-drawn canal boats there too. Worth a look.
For days out, Chirk Castle and Erddig Hall are close. Both are National Trust. Chester's about half an hour's drive. You can walk the city walls and see the cathedral.
For facilities, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage if you bring them. Sorry, no pets.
