Y Stabl
Y Stabl is one of four cottages here on our sheep and cattle farm in Froncysyllte. The building used to be a stable. It looks out over fields and the Llangollen canal is just down the lane.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms, and there are three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. Everything is modern inside, and it's quite spacious. The garden is enclosed and private. There's a hot tub.
You're on a working farm. You'll see us with the animals sometimes, and you'll hear farm noises.
The local pub is about a mile away, it does food. The nearest shop is two miles, in Trevor.
Llangollen is a ten minute drive. It's a nice town for a wander, some shops and places to eat. You can get a horse-drawn boat on the canal there, or take a steam train. The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is very close. You can walk across it or take a narrowboat trip over it. It's high.
For walking, the ruins of Castell Dinas Brân are on the hill above Llangollen. The views are worth the climb. Chirk Castle is about fifteen minutes away by car. National Trust Chirk Castle.
If you want activity days, there's white-water rafting, zip-lining at Zip World, and mountain biking at nearby trail centres. Chester is about forty minutes in the car. Chester Zoo is there. Snowdonia is under an hour's drive.
In the cottage there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside. Sorry, no pets.
