Yr Hen Bwthyn is in the middle of Llangollen. You can walk to everything. The front door opens right onto the pavement, but you're up from the main street so it's not too busy.
It's a Grade II listed cottage. It sleeps three, with one super kingsize bed and one single. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it. Everything's been done up nicely. It has a 4 Star rating.
Being an old cottage, the stairs are quite steep and narrow. The doorways are low in places. The kitchen is modern and has a dishwasher. There's a woodburning stove in the living room, which is good for cooler evenings.
You really don't need the car once you're here. There are pubs, cafes, and shops a two-minute walk away. You can get to the canal, the river, and most of the walks from the door. The walk up to Castell Dinas Bran starts just over the bridge.
For days out, the Llangollen Steam Railway is here in town. The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is about ten minutes by car. Chirk Castle is about a fifteen minute drive. There's also horse riding, fishing, and golf very locally.
In terms of facilities, bed linen and towels are included. There's WiFi. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the rest of the cottage isn't really due to the stairs. No pets, sorry.
