Ty Felin

Ty Felin is on our farm in Froncysyllte. It's a working sheep and cattle farm so you'll see us and the animals around, but the cottage and its garden are private.

It's one of four cottages here, all converted from old farm buildings. Ours sleeps six, in three bedrooms, and each bedroom has its own bathroom. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a hot tub in the garden.

The cottage is all on one level, which is good for access, and you can park right outside.

You're right next to the Llangollen Canal here. The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is a five minute walk. You can see narrowboats going across it, or book a trip yourself from Llangollen.

The town of Llangollen is about three miles away. It's got shops, pubs, and places to eat. They do horse-drawn boat trips on the canal there, and you can get the steam train. For a good walk, you can head up to the ruins of Dinas Bran Castle above the town.

If you want to drive out, there's a lot within half an hour. Chirk Castle is about six miles. The National Trust looks after it. Wrexham is ten miles for bigger shops. The edge of Snowdonia National Park is about twenty minutes west. For activities, there's white water rafting at the national centre in Bala, and mountain biking at nearby trail centres.

Facilities wise: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair if needed. No pets, sorry.

It's a quiet spot. You'll hear birds and sheep, not traffic.
