Green Acres is my house in Llangollen. It's an old family place, been in the family a long time. It's detached and has big gardens front and back, so it feels quiet even though you're only a few minutes' walk from the town centre.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and, unusually for round here, three bathrooms. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's been done up to a good standard. We've used White Company stuff for the furniture and linen. The main bathroom has grab rails and a shower seat.
The kitchen is open plan with a table for six. The living room is bright and looks out over the back garden. All the bedrooms are upstairs. The master has a super king bed and an en-suite. There's another king room and a twin room with two full-sized single beds. The twin has a small basin in the corner.
Outside, there's parking for three cars on the drive. The garden at the back is about three-quarters of an acre, mostly lawn, with some furniture. It gets the sun. There's a separate enclosed area at the front if you're bringing dogs. We allow two.
You can walk into Llangollen in five minutes. The town has the canal and the steam railway. There are cafes and restaurants. If you want activities, there's white water rafting and climbing close by.
Within about half an hour you can get to a lot. The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is a big draw. The National Trust's Chirk Castle is nearby. For walking, the Llangollen area page has good ideas. The Llangollen website is useful for local events. Snowdonia is under an hour's drive if you want to go further.
Facilities: it has Wi-Fi, a washing machine, a cot and highchair. Bedding and towels are included. On-site parking. It's set up for Christmas if you book then.
