Ty Godro is on our farm in Froncysyllte. It's one of four cottages here, made from old farm buildings. We've got sheep and cattle.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. That's handy with a big group. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's well finished and comfortable. Everything's on one level, which is good for access. There's a private, enclosed garden and a hot tub.
You're right by the Llangollen Canal here. You can walk to the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct in about fifteen minutes. It's impressive. A bit further on is the town of Llangollen itself. It's got shops, pubs, and you can get horse-drawn boat trips there.
Llangollen is about a twenty minute drive. From there, you're well placed for a lot. The ruins of Castell Dinas Bran are up on the hill. It's a steep walk but the view is worth it. Chirk Castle, which is National Trust, is about twenty minutes away by car.
If you're after more active things, there's walking and cycling all along the canal and the Dee Valley. For something bigger, Zip World or Snowdonia are within a forty minute drive. Chester is about forty five minutes.
The local pub is a mile down the road. The nearest shop is two miles away in Trevor.
Facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV and WiFi. All bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. No pets, I'm afraid, because of the farm.
