Apple Garth

Apple Garth is in Chirk. It's a detached bungalow on a quiet cul-de-sac, a few minutes' walk from the village centre. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after.

You've got a decent-sized garden and a conservatory that looks out onto it. It's a good spot if you want to be able to just wander out.

The main thing is the location. The Llangollen Canal, which is a World Heritage site, is about five minutes' walk away. You can walk or cycle along it straight into Llangollen, past the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. Or you can go the other way towards Chirk Aqueduct. The path goes for miles.

Chirk itself has what you need: a couple of pubs that do food, a small supermarket, a butcher, a baker, takeaways, and a very good Indian restaurant. There's a train station a few minutes' walk away with links to Shrewsbury, Chester, and up towards Manchester.

For days out, Chirk Castle is right on the doorstep. Llangollen is about a 20-minute drive for the Eisteddfod in July. Chester Zoo and the city walls in Chester are about half an hour's drive. If you want the coast, Llandudno is just over an hour.

The place has a washing machine, towels and bedding are included, there's parking, and WiFi. The garden is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs.
