Apple Garth

Apple Garth is a bungalow in Chirk. It’s detached, so you’ve got your own space. It’s in a quiet cul-de-sac, about a five minute walk from the centre of the village.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's rated 4 Star. It’s comfortable. The living room’s a good size and there’s a conservatory that looks out over the garden. The garden is large and enclosed.

You’re right on the edge of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal World Heritage Site. The canal path is five minutes from the back gate. You can walk or cycle along it into Llangollen one way, or towards Chirk Aqueduct the other. It’s flat, which is good.

The village has what you need. A couple of pubs that do food, a small supermarket, a bakery, a butcher. There’s a train station a few minutes’ walk away.

Chirk Castle is National Trust and it’s very close. A proper castle with gardens and estate walks. For other days out, Llangollen is about a 15 minute drive for the Eisteddfod or a trip on the canal boat. Chester Zoo and the city of Chester are within half an hour. The coast, like Llandudno, is just over an hour.

For facilities: there’s parking, WiFi, a washing machine, bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There’s a BBQ and bike storage.
