Ash - Glamping Pod

It's Ash Pod. It's one of the glamping pods here at Castle Farm, near Dudleston. It's for two people. It's a 2 Star place, so think simple and clean.

The pod itself is wooden and detached. You've got a proper bed for two, and there's heating and wi-fi. It's open plan inside, just one room really. That's it. The thing to know is there isn't a bathroom in the pod. You use the shared shower block, which is a minute's walk away. It's a modern block. They've got an outdoor sink area too, which is handy if you're using the BBQ.

The view out the front is nice. Fields and a church on the horizon. It's quiet.

The location is good for getting around. You're right on the Shropshire and Wales border. St Martins village is two miles away for a supermarket and a pub. Ellesmere is about five miles, that's where the meres are for a walk. Oswestry isn't far either for the shops.

You can be in Wales in a few minutes. Llangollen is about half an hour's drive. You can get the steam train there, or walk up to the castle ruins. The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is a World Heritage Site and it's close by. Chirk Castle is nearby too. For a day trip, Shrewsbury or Chester are under an hour.

If you have dogs, up to two are welcome. There's parking right by the pod. Bedding is included.
