Willow is a glamping pod on our farm in Dudleston. It's detached and sits in its own little area so it's private. There are other pods on the farm but they're spaced out. You get a decent view over the fields.
It sleeps two. One room, which is open plan with the kitchen area. The bed is made up for you with bedding and towels. It's a 2 Star rating, so it's basic but clean.
The thing to know is there's no bathroom inside the pod. The shower block is about a minute's walk away. It's clean and modern, with private cubicles. There's an outdoor sink there too, which is handy for washing up your BBQ things. You do get your own private hot tub next to the pod.
The pod has heating, electricity, and WiFi. There's a little kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, and kettle. You can park right next to it.
You're allowed up to two dogs. It's a working farm so they need to be kept on a lead when they're outside the pod's own fenced area.
Location wise, you're between Ellesmere and Oswestry. St Martins village is about two miles away. It has a Co-op, a pub, and a cafe. The Welsh border is about a mile down the road.
For days out, the Llangollen Canal is very close for walking or cycling. You can walk across the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, which is a World Heritage Site. It's quite something. Chirk Castle is about a 15 minute drive. Ellesmere has a few lakes, or meres as they're called here. Alderford Lake is good if you fancy some paddleboarding.
You can get to Shrewsbury, Chester, or Llangollen in under half an hour if you want a town day. Ironbridge is about 45 minutes.
There are five pods in total. Sometimes groups book a few together.
