Harvest Cottage

Harvest Cottage is in Penycoe, Denbighshire. It's where we live, so it's attached to our main house on one side, but you've got your own door and your own space. It's an old place, from the 1700s, but we've fixed it up so it works.

It's a one-bedroom cottage, so it's just for two people. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and everything is there for you.

Outside, you've got a little walled terrace just for you. There's a small herb garden, and then a gate opens into our paddock. You can sit out there with a drink. It's quiet.

Inside, it's got a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and the TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can park right outside.

The stairs up to the bedroom are cottage stairs. They're steep and narrow. Just so you know.

There's a shop and a pub about a mile away in the village. There's a leisure centre and fishing about the same distance.

For things to do, you're right on the edge of the countryside. You can walk or drive from here and get great views over the Vale of Llangollen and the River Dee. The Llangollen steam railway and the horse-drawn boats are a local thing. For history, there are two National Trust places very close: Chirk Castle and Erddig Hall. Chester, which is Roman, is about twenty minutes away by car.

We don't accept pets, I'm afraid.
